The Varjo XR-3 Focal Edition's mixed reality camera system is calibrated to provide better image clarity within 12" to 31" of the headset, compared to a standard XR-3.

The XR-3 Focal Edition is designed for the most demanding security environments in defence, intelligence and critical infrastructure.

The headset is sold with a perpetual, offline license that allows operations in non-Internet connected environments and does not require users to create accounts.

In addition, it can be delivered with suppressed radio frequency capability, which is required to operate in certain classified environments.

Coverage of specialised compliance needs

The XR-3 Focal Edition is fully TAA/BAA (Trade Agreements Act and Buy America Act) compliant, with the devices being custom manufactured at Varjo's headquarters in Helsinki, Finland.

TAA compliance is becoming an increasingly important requirement, allowing HMD solutions to be used for secure and classified operations.
