ART Measuring Tool

The ART measuring tool is a pointing device for measuring applications. In this specialised field, it is very important to measure the positions of points with a high degree of accuracy. The measuring tool is equipped with a measuring tip that can be located and tracked by the optical tracking system with the help of attached targets and a suitable DTrack3 module. Normally, the position of the tool tip is measured in the DTrack workpiece coordinate system (fixed during workpiece calibration). Optionally, the measuring tool can calculate the position relative to a "reference body" (i.e. in its body coordinate system).
