The Data Glove 14 Ultra was designed by 5DT to meet the very high demands of a modern motion capture and animation system for professionals. As such, this system incorporates 14 measurement points for hand motion and capture. The digital glove is designed to meet the strict requirements of modern motion capture and animation professionals. It offers comfort, ease of use, and multiple application drivers. Similarly, the data quality, low data complexity and high data frequency make it the optimal product for real-time animation.

While Data Glove 5 Ultra measures the bending of each finger of the user's hand (1 sensor per finger), Data Glove 14 measures the bending (2 sensors per finger) as well as the distance between the fingers.

The system interfaces with the computer via a USB cable. A serial port (RS-232 - platform independent) is available as an option. It also features 10-bit bending, extreme comfort, low drift and open architecture. In addition, there is a wireless option kit that allows up to 2 gloves on the same kit, linked via Bluetooth (up to 20m away). The e-glove is ideal for high-speed connectivity with up to 8 hours of battery life.
